第二季的最后，House对三人组（Foreman, Chase, Cameron）说：Tell Cuddy I want ketamine。这是本季的最后一句台词，单独看是没有意义的。因为这一集的风格与前面迥然不同，其剧情、剪辑、内涵完全超出电视剧集的常规模式，更像是一部有关心理、梦境、潜意识、Freudianism的短电影，如果充实其内容至90分钟以上，并由David Lynch来掌镜，肯定是一部类“Mulholland Dr.”的力作。老实说，看完后，我很惊讶，疑窦丛生，有一些想法需要证实。最终我在伊甸园论坛找到两篇相关的讨论，与我的想法相印证，方释然。这最后的E24，可以说把House的风格推向一个登峰造极的高度，并给第三季留下了十足的悬念。

这便是这部剧的智慧。正是这种智慧的存在，才使得House在我心中超越别的剧集，吸引我紧紧跟随。

Foreman说：House is a freak! (S02E05) FREAK可能是形容House的最贴切的词。在中文里，对应的词也许该是“变态”。他对三个助手的折磨可以理解为一种近似虐待狂的行为。他爱在别人面前显示他的智力优势，看着别人一脸疑惑的表情，或者听别人大声反驳，把手下支使得团团转，最后看别人对他心悦诚服。这些能使他获得一种快感。这种心理的优越或许能补偿他身体的缺陷所带来的自卑与痛苦。所以，在S02E24里，当House在幻觉里发现自己的大脑受到损害，变得不如他的手下聪明的时候，心理大受刺激。他对Cuddy和Wilson发火，甚至打了Wilson，因为他不能容忍用自己智力受损的代价去换取肢体的康复。他宁愿做一个聪明的瘸子，也不想做一个健康的笨蛋。然而，不可否认的是，他是一个天才医生。天才总是狂放不羁的。在S02E14里，编剧借某人之口说：...when you're that big a jerk, you're either great or unemployed.

House is undoubtedly a great jerk! I like this great jerk! I like this great freak!

我喜欢那些不时从House嘴里蹦出的机智、幽默又刻薄的语录，且不乏人生的智慧。也许House fans可以辑录一册《House语录》或《House箴言集》，岂不妙哉！个人所喜，略撷拾一二：

Nobel invented dynamite.  I won’t accept his blood money. (S02E04)
Nothing can hurt my heart. (S02E12)
Gifts express guilt. The more expensive the expression, the deeper the guilt. (S02E14)

看House与人斗嘴永远是一件惬意并快意的事。下面这段House和Wilson的斗嘴，机锋巧妙，精彩幽默至令人喷饭(S02E05)：

Wilson: If you have the money then why did you need the loan?
House: I didn't. Just wanted to see if you could give it to me. I've been borrowing increasing mounts ever since you lent me 40 dollars a year ago. A little experiment to see where you draw the line.
Wilson: You're trying to... objectively measure how much I value our friendship?!
House: Hey, it's 5 grand. You've got nothing to be ashamed of. So what do you say? One little phone call and one big cheque?
Wilson: Fine. Thanks. Now, be a grown-up and either tell mommy and daddy you don't want to see them, or I'm picking you up at 7 for dinner.
House: What do you mean? You just said that--
Wilson: I lied. I've been lying to you in increasing amounts ever since I told you you looked good unshaved, a year ago.  It's a little experiment, you know, see where you draw the line.

当然，House不是House一个人的精彩，是所有人的精彩——笑起来很好看很好看常常母爱泛滥的Cameron，风靡万千女观众的帅哥Chase，不跟House吵架House不爽的Foreman，总是穿着低胸装的女上司Cuddy，与House关系铁到让人产生其他联想的Wilson。他们也常常妙语连珠。

Cameron: Ignorance is bliss. (S02E15)
Wilson: If love's based on lies, does that mean it's not a real feeling? Doesn't bring the same pleasure? (S02E06)
Cameron: [scoffs] Lovely. Revenge as motive for success.
Cuddy: Ah, it doesn't have to be a motive. But it sure tastes good. (S02E18)

如果说，第二季有什么让我失望的地方的话，我认为是编剧在Stacy身上浪费了太多笔墨。这个女人的出现交代了House的情史和瘸腿前后的事，刻画了House理性、孤僻之外感性、重情的一面，对丰富人物起到很大的作用。但是我并不认为安排她和House旧情复萌甚至上床有太大意义。我对这个女人实在喜欢不起来，她在两个男人间模棱两可的姿态让我鄙憎。

Stacy: I hate you. And I love you. And I love Mark.
House: You don't hate him?
Stacy: No. (S02E06)

我庆幸House足够清醒，放弃了她。他对她说： You can either have a life with me, or you can have a life with him. It can't be both. It's not easy. But it is simple. （S02E11）剧集进行到这里时，我松了一口气，这个女人终于走了。

另一方面，让我失望的是，在第一季里，House和Cameron之间的些许暧昧到了第二季里不但没有发展，反而淡化了。Cameron的心里肯定还恋着House，但是House对Cameron似乎毫无感觉。不过编剧的狡猾在于，最后一集里，他们让House在自己营造的虚拟世界中用手术机器割掉Cameron的衣扣，从而证明在House的潜意识里，他对Cameron是有幻想的。天知道第三季里会发生什么？也许我将继续失望下去。本季还有两处伏笔。一处是S02E07里，嗑药的Cameron 与“自投罗网”的Chase上演了一出ONS，让我大跌眼镜，因为在此之前没有任何铺垫。而那时的Cameron同学有被HIV感染的危险，不得不佩服Chase同学的勇气。这一处伏笔可能预示Cameron和Chase有发展感情的可能。另一处是S02E23里，Cuddy和House间有暧昧的氛围，也许两人在第三季里有故事。编剧乱点鸳鸯谱，观众只能跟着乱转。

本季，我最喜欢的两集是E02和E10。

E02里，House对小女孩实施头部手术的时候，场面调度异常精彩，紧张程度堪比缉凶或战争；Chase被小女孩索吻，转而被House识破一段，至为轻松幽默；而House与小女孩病中对话一节，堪称本季最感人场面：

House: I’m doctor House.
Andie: I’ve seen you around.
House: Did your mom tell you what we’re gonna try?
Andie: Sorta.
House: Tomorrows test could take ten hours, in your present condition you might not even make it through.
Andie: My mom’s done a lot of research.
House: How do you feel about it? If we figured maturity came from how much time you’ve got left instead how long you’ve been here this would be your call.
Andie: I don’t have a choice right?
House: I could give you one.
Andie: I wanna get better.
House: You’ve got cancer. Even if I fix this…
Andie: I’ve got a year.
House: A year of this. A lot of people wouldn’t want that. A lot of people would just want it to be over.
Andie: Are you asking if I want to die?
House: Nobody wants to die. But you’re going to. The question is how, how much you’re going to suffer and how long. I’m asking if you want this to be over.
Andie: What would you tell my mom?
House: I could give her ten excellent medical reasons why we can’t do this procedure.
Andie: I can’t just leave her cause I’m tired.
House: But you can’t stay for her either.
Andie: But she needs me here.
House: This is your life, you can’t do this just for her.
Andie: I love her.

E10(FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE)里，House通过电话成功诊断失语的病人。精彩不仅在于其医术与推理匪夷所思，更在于其对人际交流、语言功用等有关COMMUNICATION的东西进行了有趣的探讨。

本季最爱的两首歌是E01结尾Jeff Buckley的" Hallelujah "和E07结尾Amos lee的 "Colors"。E01里，House总结所谓的“死亡五部曲”是：denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance。在医院这个环境中，生与死频繁上演，人性的光辉与弱点得以最充分的展露。当" Hallelujah "的歌声响起的时候，我感受到的是一种悲天悯人的情怀。而这种情怀在House剧中贯穿始终，成为这部剧独特魅力的一个重要组分。
